AS Apartments

AS Apartments is a direct-booking prototype that Niro Digital built in 2023 for two holiday apartments in Bolfenk on Pohorje near Maribor; the reservation flow was never connected to a backend and the project did not go further.

The constraint

AS Apartments rents two holiday apartments in Bolfenk on Pohorje, above Maribor. They wanted bookings that did not arrive with a platform commission attached, from guests who had chosen the mountain rather than compared a thousand rooms. So in 2023 we built a prototype that sells the location first: a hero over the hillside, an image slider and feature grid per unit, and pages on the skiing, snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking and wellness within reach of the door. Both apartments, for three and four guests, live in one typed list that drives the catalogue, the detail page and the booking dialog. A date-range calendar opens straight from a unit, computes the stay, and hands it to a checkout that offers card or bank transfer, the method Slovenian guests still ask for. That checkout is where the prototype stops: nothing behind it was ever connected.

What changed

What we'd do differently

This is a prototype, and it should be read as one. The reservation flow was never connected to a backend: checkout collects the stay and offers card or bank transfer, but nothing writes a reservation or takes a payment, and there is no channel sync with Booking.com or Airbnb. The project did not go further, so what is live is the marketing side of a booking site and the front of a reservation system, not the system. What we would do differently: wire the reservation record and the calendar block first, then design the marketing pages around it.
